If you are fishing during the day remember that the bigger the walleye, the further away they will be from the structures and the deeper they will be in the water. Our Club was founded in 2003 to establish a team tournament series to further the enjoyment of competitive bass fishing. Boat limits are five bass, smallmouth and/or largemouth, and anglers can only use artificial lures-live bait is prohibited.
Mar 14, 2017 · Oneida Lake. You can't talk about fishing this lake just north of Syracuse without mentioning largemouth and smallmouth. The lake's bottom generally consists of rocky bars, mid-lake shoals and reefs and while the bass opportunities have always been good on the lake, since the introduction of zebra mussels water clarity has greatly improved.
Oneida Lake generated $12 million in angler expenditures in 2007 (average $15.46/angler/day). The top three species anglers fish for on Oneida Lake are walleye, black bass (largemouth and smallmouth); and yellow perch.
